My husband and I have been divorced in Sri Lanka. He filed the case and the grounds have been malicious desertion. We have lived together for 2 and a half years and have no children. Both of us now live in overseas countries and ( myself in Australia and he is in Singapore) .
Is there a possibility that we can get an annulment of marriage after getting divorced. what could the general grounds be ? what is the general process ?

I wish to inform you that annulment and divorce are granted on diverse grounds. In this regard if you have been granted divorce then your marriage has ended and thus you may not have annulment because annulment requires existence of marriage to be finished. If there is no marriage in existence thus annulment may not be sought. Further granting of divorce shows marriage was validly done and thus annulment may not be allowed.
